Originally an industrial engineer, Burcu Sevgor was drawn to the magical material of glass and has been flameworking since 2010. After the move to London, she opened her studio in Shoreditch and started Jukju Glass.
Nature inspires her work; with its infinite diversity, limitless tones and extraordinary forms. She heats glass rods to 1200 degrees and handcrafts flowers and jellyfish using a flameworking technique known as ‘Implosion’, making each piece unique.
